BIKE TOURS MARAS AND MORAY
No Meals
Group Size: 10
Altitud: 3,770 m.s.n.m
Overview
Our bike tour Maras, Moray and the Salt mine from Cusco, also known as the Sacred Valley mountain biking, are located in the district of Maras, a small town located at 3,395 meters above sea level where the salt mines are.
We will pass by the Moray viewpoint, one of the very impressive archaeological sites, which is built by circular rings; The Inca culture built this place for the purpose of agricultural climate experimentation for planting products that do not grow in this area
We will also go through the best viewpoint towards the salt-mine of Maras, one of the natural wonders, known as the salt mines, made up of an immense number of wells or small pools where salt is formed, fed only by a water source that springs from inside the Qaqawiñay mountain, which also distributes water to all the wells.
Our mountain biking Maras Moray and Salt mine adventure begins in the Cheq’erek community, where we pick up our bicycles, helmets, and gloves and begin our ride on a wide dirt road with ups and downs, taking in the view of the Huaypo Lagoon.
Our second stop will be at the Misminay viewpoint, from this point, we will have an incredible view of Moray, an Inca archaeological site; to get to the place, we will have a drop of 300 meters uphill.
After reaching the highest point of the route through the sacred valley, we will have very fun little singletracks towards the town of Maras and continue down towards the Salineras viewpoint.
Visits to the interior of these two places are optional.
I invite you to take part in this unique bike tour through the sacred valley of the Incas, which is full of adventure.
